There is no better time to learn about the intricacies of public health and epidemiology than right now—during a worldwide pandemic! In The Science of Public Health, your students will learn about the role of public health in society today, as well as how that role has changed throughout history. Echelon Catapult instructors will teach your students how to “speak” in epidemiology, which is the study of the distribution, factors, and prevention of disease. Your students will also learn many approaches and models public health officials use to prevent disease, as well as inform people about how disease spreads. At the end of the course, students will analyze several case studies and use the knowledge they have learned throughout the course to brainstorm effective methods to prevent various diseases.
All meetings will take place on Zoom.
